I was unaware of this until a recent camping trip, when a fellow camper pointed it out to me.

 

The first photo shows how much the brace has moved.

 

Only another half inch, and it would have fallen out of the bracket on the other side.

 

The second photo shows the brace, after I loosened the bolts, and centered it to it's original position.

 

I will keep ane eye on it, and if it continues to shift, add a screw to hold it in place.
